Wintertime in the Commons
Winter in the Fenderson Wildlife Commons may seem uneventful, but there are still plenty of things happening. Many of the animal species that used the Commons in the summer do remain there now. When there is snow on the ground, it can be fun to walk the trails on some snowshoes looking for moose, coyote and fisher tracks.
Many of the trees are still hard at work as well. The coniferous trees are steadily growing and though the deciduous trees have no leaves and are in a state of dormancy, their roots still have the capability to grow. The forest is a beautiful and thriving place, even during the winter months, so don’t be afraid to get out there and experience the lands that the Town has conserved.
